What are the ingredients for a successful company? A sense for business, understanding market potential, innovation, a strong believe in visions and ideas, and strategies to grow can be extremely relevant. But there is more to look at, as we are facing continuous changes and success will be temporary if fail to adapt. Only if we make use of the five senses of modern companies to realize from where we gain robustness, we can establish an environment for sustainable success.
Silicon Valley has taught us that it is possible to grow success from an optimal environment. A new spirit has been formed. Companies have shown that new forms of thinking can turn out to be substantial for growing business ideas. In Silicon Valley the new economy has started to follow people and potentials rather than structures and domain expertise. Companies have been built on flat hierarchies with a strong attitude towards objectives and leadership rather than strict management structures and plans.
While fundamental principles of business have caused a lot of disruptions in Silicon Valley (e.g. costs have increased tremendously), a strong believe in the ability to make a change has been pertained and is still the key driver for people and companies. This spirit is something we can transfer into our organization and run for sustainable success. We do not have to relocate to Silicon Valley to establish that spirit, if we start to make use of the five senses of modern companies, which cross the challenges of continuous change in our business:
